The role

Being a Telco Support Engineer at Unleashed includes:

  • Finding opportunities to optimize our services and support for our Vikings and JIM Mobile users.
  • Being able to detect patterns in the 1st and 2nd line service requests we receive, to ensure proper 3rd line support for more complex issues
    (such as roaming, interconnection with other operators, number transfers, etc.).
  • Providing a customer-focused service in line with the agreed service levels with our third parties.

Your main responsibilities are

  • To understand the needs of our Vikings and JIM Mobile users, to come up with initiatives to improve our core network and to coordinate the roll-out of such improvement projects. 
  • To have a keen eye for optimising ticket flows and to think of better end-to-end solutions.
  • To work in a multi-disciplinary context and in close collaboration with Operations, Development, Customer Care colleagues and our core network partner.
  • To proactively look for improvement in efficiency and quality of our team and its output.
  • To track all telco-related incidents and requests to ensure closure is confirmed.
  • To provide hands-on training to our Customer Care agents to improve their self-reliance.
  • To manage expectations and communicate status updates to technical, communication and senior stakeholders. 
  • To engage with the appropriate partner to ensure the resolution of issues.

You are the one

  • Who’s passionate about telco and IT-related stuff.
  • Who has experience working in telecommunications and IT.
  • Who brings a technical background, either from education or from experience.
  • Who understands or is eager to learn abbreviations such as HLR, CDR, SMSC, etc.
  • Who is always looking for ways to optimise ways of working.
  • Who can look beyond the current requirements and plan for the future.
  • Who shows the necessary pragmatism and is hands-on.
  • Who has all things mobile for breakfast.
